About My Services
What kinds of events do you do? You name it! Anywhere there will be children present, or adults who want something fun and different! Community Fairs, Block Parties, Fundraisers, Company Picnics, Family Picnics, Reunions, Church Picnics, Church Events, Yacht Club Opening Days, Grand Openings, Open Houses, Customer Appreciation Days, Holiday Celebrations, Harvest Festivals/Carnivals, Child Care Programs, Special Olympics, Cancer Survivor Days, Expos, Exhibitions, Wedding Receptions, etc. I only accept jobs that pay my hourly rate. I do not rent booth space, charge per person, work for tips, do trades, do free Face Painting for promotional purposes, negotiate prices or give discounts. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to do any volunteer Face Painting for Charity Events top

Are You A Clown or a Character? I come in colorful, interesting costumes and hats, and with my designs painted on myself. I do not dress like a clown or act like one, nor am I a character. I do the Face Painting only, I do not do games with the children. However, I can come dressed as a Princess if you wish! Or even "Bob the Builder”, or as a US Soldier! Go to Costumes to view. top

Do you do anything other than Face Painting?  I offer Nail Art.  See Events for information and prices. See Gallery for photos. top

Am I booking you personally for my Event, or will you be sending out another face painter who works for you? When you go through an agency, you take a risk as to whether they will send out someone good, or someone working their first party. I am the only person in my company that does the Face Painting. You are booking me personally, and you will get the same, beautiful, high quality Face Painting that you see in the pictures! top

Does your business have liability insurance? Yes. $2,000,000 Bodily Injury and Property Damage to Others. If you require a certificate listing your company or your client as an "Additional Insured", I can provide one for you at no extra charge. top

Do you have references and/or a list of Events you have worked? Yes, I have both. I can email you a list of references, and on this website is my Resume of Appearances top

About My Face Painting
What ages do you paint? I paint children ages 2 & up. However, I usually can only do a limited range of simple designs on 2 year olds (they can be a little squirmy & afraid of strangers & new experiences!). My designs look like they take a long time, but most only take between 3-6 minutes to paint. Most children 3 & up have no problem sitting still for me. top

Are your designs airbrushed with stencils or hand-painted? I hand-paint everything with paint brushes. I don't do airbrush Face Painting. top

Is your intricate-looking style of Face Painting an appropriate choice for an Event with a couple hundred people or more? Yes! I have done numerous events (see Resume of Appearances), and wherever I go, the guests are always absolutely thrilled to have such beautiful, high-quality Face Painting. While my work looks intricate, my designs only take between 3-6 minutes to paint, depending on what they choose. When people see me work in person, they are always amazed at how fast I can paint such detailed-looking designs.

While I cannot paint quite as many people as Face Painters who paint very simple designs, the guests always tell me they prefer my work to any Face Painting they have ever seen. Any Face Painter you hire will still have to turn people away. But my services will create more excitement for your event, and provide entertainment for everyone present. Guests are always astonished at what I can paint and love to watch me work. And the children (& teens & adults) that I paint walk all around and provide amusement and delight for all who see them, as well as classy and festive décor! top

Can I have you offer a limited menu of only your quickest designs? I specialize in offering beautiful, high-quality Face Painting with a large selection of design choices. I don't offer limited menus. If you would prefer to hire someone who does quick and simple Face Painting, please contact me, and I can refer you to someone. top

Prices & Payment
What are your Prices? Events: $165 for the 1st hour, $115 for each additional hour, 2 Hour Minimum, 4 Hour Maximum. See Events for a complete list of additional services and prices. top

How do you distinguish a Party from an Event? A Party has a fixed number of children, and we arrange just enough time for me to paint them all. An Event has a large, undetermined number of children. Anytime there will be more children/people than I can paint. However, some parties are so large that they fall into the event category and that rate applies. If you have any questions, please ask me. top

What are your Payment Policies? Events: In lieu of a deposit, there is a $100 Cancellation Fee. For payment, I follow your organization's normal procedures. You also have the option of paying the balance with a credit card. top

Do you ever give discounts or negotiate prices? No, my prices are not negotiable. Everyone pays the same rates. I make my prices public so you know you are being treated fairly. Schools, Charities, and other Non-Profit Organizations included.  top

Do you accept credit cards? Yes! I take Master Card and Visa. If you wish to pay with American Express or Discover, we need to do it online through PayPal. top

Booking Information
How far in advance do I need to book you? I have no set policy. As long as I’m available, I accept last minute bookings with no extra charge. However, you need to book me as early as possible to ensure someone else doesn’t take your day. There is just no way to predict how early any particular day will get booked. It could be 2 months or 2 days in advance. I suggest booking your event at least 5-6 weeks in advance. top

What cities do you work in? Anywhere in Orange County. top

Do you work in parks?  Yes, with no extra charge. Please make sure when you reserve your space, that you tell them you are having a Face Painter and check if they have any special requirements. County parks require that you pay for a special permit ahead of time to have a Face Painter. The permits start at $56, and I am already on their list of approved vendors. Some County parks also require that you reserve a special space for vendors. If you do not have the proper permit with you, the park rangers will not allow me to work in the park that day, and you will forfeit the deposit you paid me. top

Are there any kinds locations you cannot work at? I no longer accept jobs where I would have to set-up on a beach or sand. I cannot work anyplace where I would have to bring my equipment over a steep hill to get to the location. top

Do you work Sundays or Holidays? Yes, both! You can hire me for any day of the year. I will even work on Christmas Day! top

How late at night will you work? I do not accept nighttime Events. My painting time must end no later than 7pm. top

The Event
Do I need to provide anything for you like table and chairs or a canopy? You won’t have to do or provide a thing! I bring all my own equipment and I set up everything myself. I just need an empty 10’ x 10’ space to set up my booth, and electrical hook-up for events where I will be painting after dark. If you need for me to use your equipment, please notify me in advance. top

How do you organize the Face Painting at Events? To make it a more enjoyable experience for your guests, I assign them numbers so they can leave the booth and come back later. The children can enjoy the whole event, instead of spending most of it waiting in a long line in the hot sun. My system also prevents anyone from being turned away after they have waited in line. Anyone I will not have time to paint gets turned away immediately so their time is not wasted. I bring an assistant with me to organize everything and answer guests’ questions, so my time is free to paint as many of your guests as possible. top

Can I have a Volunteer or another Professional Face Painter work with you at our Event? You are welcome to have other Face Painters at your event! It is always helpful to have more than one at an event, as Face Painting is so popular. You may place them next to my booth, but it is my policy not to allow anyone to work inside my booth other than my own assistants and myself. I do not share my equipment or supplies, and I will not be able to help them or supervise. top

Will you train my people/volunteers to paint faces? No. There is no secret to Face Painting or a shortcut to learning. Face Painting is just painting, but on a unique and challenging surface. You have to learn how to paint first, and then you practice painting on people. It is not something I can teach in a few hours.  top

Miscellaneous
How do you paint yourself? Who painted those designs on you? This is actually the single most frequent question I am asked! As part of my working costume, I paint my designs on my face, arms & chest. I want the kids to see how great they actually look. I do it myself in front of a large bathroom mirror, and no, it is not hard for me. I have had so much practice! It takes about the same amount of time as painting someone else, usually less than 5 minutes per flower. On some areas, it is easier than painting someone else. I’m sure it was challenging when I first started, but I have been doing it for so long, I don’t remember!  top
